Bringing Mindfulness to Life’s Challenges, an engaged practice group
At the Durango Dharma Center
Led by Craig Holliday MA, NCC
In this group, participants will examine how Mindfulness skills can be used to meet difficulties in life; such as hopes, fears and anxieties, stress of any form, chronic pain, relationships, moods and emotions, our bodies and the nature of the self. In each group there will be a discussion on specific skills, a meditation and a participatory time for actively sharing and experimenting with Mindfulness practices. There will be a strong focus on personally applying Mindfulness skills to the practical matters of everyday living.
This group is for those who want to deepen their relationship with their practice and life. By examining where we are currently hooked; we can begin to free ourselves from passion, aggression, and ignorance. We will practice many different forms of meditation and mindfulness practices, in an effort, to uproot both conscious and unconscious hopes, fears, desires, beliefs and patterns that keep us stuck and suffering. This examination will be supported by experimenting with, and inquiring into our already, open and free nature.
All are welcome; a registration fee is required, for space rental and materials. Class will be offered for donation. Participants can join any time throughout the group.
Classes will meet 2 Sundays a month at the Durango Dharma Center: 2530 Colorado Ave.
