Welcome to the Durango Dharma Center!

Buddha rupaThe Durango Dharma Center (DDC) was formed in 1991 by a few individuals desiring support in their sitting practice. It has grown over the years and is now a Colorado non-profit and a federal 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  The DDC is Vipassana (Insight) oriented but welcomes a variety of meditators. Currently the DDC business is managed by the Board of Directors. Teaching guidance and programming is provided by the Community Dharma Leader Council.

Evening Improv Performance & Daylong Retreat with Nina Wise - 9/24-25

Nina Wise

Nina is known for her outrageous, funny, and moving improvised performances. She is a seasoned performer and a dedicated meditator, and brings her skills at stage and spirit into play as she spins movement and stories into an always unpredictable rendition of what it is like to be human.

Nina Wise is wildly wonderful, spontaneous, vibrant. She eats the present and makes it art. I can't say enough about her. She's fluid, funny, deep, authentic, fresh and hot!

-Natalie Goldberg

Nina will be joining us in Durango on Friday, September 24, for an evening improv performance for our annual Durango Dharma Center community event at Smiley Auditorium.  Then on Saturday, September 25 she will teach a daylong retreat at the Durango Dharma Center. Sign up for either one or both events.
