WELCOMING CHANGE WITH MINDFULNESS & EQUANIMITY
AN EVENING FOR PEOPLE IN THEIR 20S AND 30S
WITH ERIN TREAT
Hosted by the next generation mindfulness group
Wednesday, March 7 from 6:00-7:30 pm
Change is a natural part of human life and can spark responses ranging from great joy to deep stress. How do we welcome the inevitable changes in our lives—both big and small—with ease and balance?
Join the Next Generation Mindfulness Group for an evening with our mentor, Erin Treat, resident dharma teacher, exploring the topic of change. We will gather for guided meditation, a short dharma talk and discussion and reflection. Together we will explore how to meet the joys and challenges of change with mindfulness and ease.
We welcome both beginning meditators and those who have been practicing for a while. We welcome people from all backgrounds, identities and faiths. Come as you are!
The Next Generation Mindfulness Group, known as Next Gen, is a group of meditation practitioners in their 20s and 30s. We have seen many iterations over the years. In 2018, we plan to meet every month. The next gathering will be held on April 11 from 5:30 - 7:00.
To sign up for our email list and hear of upcoming gatherings, please contact Liz Cosgrove at firstname.lastname@example.org or 970-749-2030. Or keep checking in with this website, or follow our Facebook page.
COST: There is no registration fee or need to register. This evening program will be offered on the basis of dana, a practice of shared (or mutual) generosity that has been alive since the time of the Buddha. At the end of the evening, there will be an opportunity to offer a donation.
